A desolate slum in the 1960's Britain provided a life of abject poverty for the families trying to survive in it. In today’s case, poverty led to cruelty, which in turn led to ruthless murder. Murder that involved some of society’s most innocent people and perpetrated by what some would argue to be another of its victims.
