The murderer in today’s story did his killing in Cleveland, and several years ago, I was in Cleveland for work stuff for about a week. It’s one of those weird cities where I never fully felt safe. There are some really cool parts of the city that I enjoyed exploring. I really wanted to catch a Cavaliers game, but they were on the road the week I was there. I got my work done and still had a good time, but in certain parts of me wandering around, I think I actually said out loud to someone that was with me… if you’re trying to get murdered, this would be a convenient place. Then a couple streets over, it’s awesome again, and I had a fantastic lunch. It’s a weird city. Anthony Sowell was a resident of Mount Pleasant, which is a much less friendly neighborhood in Cleveland than the name suggests. In October 2009, police found the bodies of 11 women at his home.
