When you still live with your parents and you decide to throw a house party, the first thing you might do is check with your parents and see if it’s cool. Then maybe straighten up a little and promise to clean up afterward. But, for 17-year-old Tyler Hadley, none of that happened. His strict parents didn’t agree to a party, because he was grounded. So, Tyler’s Project X party plan consisted of getting rid of his parents first and then cleaning up the house to get rid of the evidence.
On July 16, 2011, he posted on Facebook: "party at my crib tonight... maybe."
When a friend asked him about the parents, he assured him that they would not be there. Little did the party-goers know, that when they flocked into his crib in Port St. Lucie, Florida at 10 p.m. to drink, smoke cigarettes and pot, pee on the neighbor’s lawn, take selfies and play beer pong all night long, his parents were actually there. Tyler Hadley casually killed both of his parents before inviting 60 guests to his house for a party. Their massacred bodies were upstairs in the master bedroom. Tyler, who was high on ecstasy, xanys and also drunk, told his friend what he had done. News spread around the party with lightning speed.
